Tassar is a renowned name in the gemstone and jewelry industry, incorporated in 1991. However, its journey began much earlier under Indomal, established by the late Mr. Osman in Hong Kong in 1965. Mr. Osman was a visionary entrepreneur who ventured into the gemstone business and shifted his base to Malaysia in the 1970s. The company expanded its operations to Thailand in 1975 and continued to grow steadily.

In 1988, the company diversified its product line and introduced Cubic Zirconia. However, it was in 1991 that the company transformed into Tassar, marking a significant milestone in its history. From that point onwards, Tassar continued to grow and expand its operations

In 1995, Tassar ventured into diamond trading, marking another significant milestone in its journey. It also became an authorized distributor for Swarovski Gemstones, further strengthening its position in the market

Tassar's growth trajectory continued, and in 2001, it expanded its operations to India under the names Gem Tech and Metro Brilliance. The company continued to expand its operations, and in 2007, it added Singapore to its list of locations.

Tassar's quest for growth did not stop there, and in 2011, it expanded its operations to China. In the same year, Tassar began supplying custom-made rings and other jewelry to jewelry shops, catering to the ever-evolving demands of its customers.

In 2018, Tassar once again diversified its product offerings and started selling Malay and Indian 916 gold jewelry in bulk, further strengthening its position in the market.
